Did these health issues contribute to Aaron Carter's death?

Carter was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home's bathroom by his housekeeper, who called 911 for help upon seeing him. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department already sent homicide investigators after receiving a report of a suspicious death, but it has not released a new update yet.

Even Aaron Carter's cause of death remains unknown, but his health led fans to think about whether it contributed to his passing.

Aaron Carter's Health Issues

In the past years, Carter has been open about his life's ups and downs as he grew older while receiving attention because of his career. He also publicly spoke about his alcohol and drug addiction while struggling with mental health issues.

In 2017, Carter revealed that he thought he would die by 30 because of the trauma, loss, and loneliness he went through.

But after welcoming his son, Prince, with Melanie Martin in November 2021, he reportedly felt like he was in an epiphany that his life became precious.

His struggles started in July 2017 when he was arrested on DUI and marijuana charges. He admitted himself into a rehab two months later where he was given several types of medications.

Carter disclosed that his problems were rooted in the post-traumatic disorder he first felt when his parents divorced. It worsened after his father and sister died.

In September 2019, he appeared on "The Doctors" where he disclosed that he was officially diagnosed with several mental health issues, including multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety, and manic depression.

The same month, Nick's wife, Lauren Kitt, made disturbing comments about Carter that led the Backstreet Boys singer to file a restraining order against him.

"In light of Aaron's increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family," Nick said.

He dismissed his claims and said that they had not been in touch in four years.

The following month, he shared a photo of him while lying in a hospital bed at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, Florida. However, he did not reveal why he was there.

It remains unknown whether Carter's health issues contributed to his death.
