In the past few months, Britney Spears had been enthusing her fans with her newfound freedom that the horrors of years-long conservatorship had kept her away.

To loop others in, the pop star had been posting videos of herself dancing to any song that she was vibing at the time. Either naked or with her favorite underwear, Spears is letting her childhood self enjoy and dance away her inhibitions.

While many seemed to have thought that her excessive dancing on social media meant erratic behavior, her recent explanation finally answered one of the internet's biggest speculations.

In a video she posted very recently, Spears dons a red-sleeved crop top and skimpy black shorts. Barefooted, Spears danced to Foster the People's greatest hit: "Pumped Up Kicks."

The pop star, now 40 years old, is dancing and twirling to the rather upbeat yet disturbing song about a school shooting. But her dancing wasn't the highlight of her post; it was her hefty caption contextualizing the reason for her dance videos.

Apparently, Britney Spears' health is compromised because of nerve damage.

"I'm dancing in time now Victoria ... yes ... nerve damage on the right side of my body ... there's no cure except God I guess ... nerve damage is caused sometimes when you don't get enough oxygen to your brain ... your brain literally shuts down," she shared. "nerve damage causes parts of your body to go numb. I wake up like 3 times a week in bed and my hands are completely numb ... nerves are tiny and it feels like pins and needles from the right side of my body it shoots up to my neck and the part that hurts the worst is my temple on my head ... it stings and it's scary ... the last 3 years since I got out of that place I've been in a mild unconscious state ... I couldn't face it."

According to Coastal Empire Orthopedics, nerve damage occur when the nerves are not able to carry the correct signals from the brain to the spinal cord. The ailment's symptoms are also similar to what Spears has listed in her hefty Instagram post.

But in lighter news, Spears remains positive because the pain is relieved whenever she dances; this explains the reason for her dancing on social media.

"I've done a good job trying to pull it off. Either way I'm getting a lot better, I can breathe ... I feel smarter because well, Jesus I can breathe now ... either way, I'm breathing now and I can dance in time, Victoria," Spears said.
