Earlier this year, Ozzy Osbourne announced that he would want to return back to the United Kingdom after staying for a long time in the United States.
Osbourne had plenty of health scares this year and the past ones, too, as he wrestles with his Parkinson's Disease diagnosis. The Black Sabbath vocalist underwent surgery because of his previous injuries sustained in a vehicular accident.
In a very recent interview with Consequence, Osbourne seemed to have a change of heart about moving permanently back home to the United Kingdom.
"To be honest with you, if I had my way, I'd stay in America. I'm American now," Osbourne confessed to the publication.
The 73-year-old singer elaborated more on what led him and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, to their initial decision to return to the United Kingdom.
Apparently, it was about the aftermath of Sharon's controversial "The Talk" statements about racism that scared the couple.
"When my wife got called a racist on [The Talk], she is absolutely not a racist," Ozzy defended. "Her friend is Piers Morgan. She didn't say, 'I agree with him'. She just respected his ability to have freedom of speech."
He also went on to reveal that because of the backlash they received during Sharon's eyebrow-raising statements, they had to recruit armed security guards and all just to keep themselves secured and guarded.
Sitting down with The Guardian earlier this year, Ozzy shared that living in the United States doesn't feel safe for him anymore.
"God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert... It's f-ing crazy," the singer said.
His wife, Sharon, doubled down their apprehension on their safety in Los Angeles in a Consequence interview.
"It's not exciting anymore. It hasn't gone sideways, it's gone down. It's not a fun place to live. It's dangerous here. Every big city's got crime, but I don't feel safe here. Neither does Ozzy," she opened up.
The couple, who had recently celebrated their 40 years of marriage, has been living in Sunny Los Angeles since Ozzy flourished in Black Sabbath. They had permanently moved to the United States decades ago and have been switching homes in Los Angeles and Buckinghamshire home in the United Kingdom.
