It seems like Katy Perry has scratched a post that did not sit well with many.
At the height of the Midterm elections yesterday, Nov. 8, 2022, Katy Cats are making noise on Twitter, among many other fans, after seeing Katy Perry's recent Instagram revelation.
Perry, who has been a longstanding supporter of women's rights and the recent overturning of Roe v Wade at the United States Supreme Court, has once again voiced his support for Los Angeles Municipal Mayor candidate Rick Caruso.
The real estate giant and then-Republican that turned into a Democrat has gained a particular following from celebrities, including Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, and even Kim Kardashian.
In the culmination of her vocal support for the candidate, Perry posted a selfie of hers on Instagram showing that she voted for Caruso all-smiles with a huge thumbs up.
"I am voting for a myriad of reasons (see the news) but in particular because Los Angeles is a hot mess atm," the pop star captioned on her post, which comment section has since been turned off.

This hasn't stopped fans and detractors of Perry from being frustrated on Twitter, egging her for her vocal support of the candidate.
Fans have been letting Perry know since then about the irony of her support of Caruso and her vocal protest for women's reproductive rights.
In the past, Caruso had been reported of funneling money to Republicans and anti-abortion efforts, apart from him turning into a Democrat 30 days before the actual race started.
This sparked doubt among liberal voters and democrats in the area, switching preference more to Rep. Karen Bass, a staunch critic of Caruso and a strong advocate of Abortion rights.
"I love all the horrible LA celebrities (Chris Pratt, Katy Perry, etc.) making pro-Caruso posts that are like The City Is Falling Apart and all they mean is that they have to occasionally see unhoused people from their limos, that's it," a user posted.
"katy perry tweeting out a pro-choice video while voting for rick caruso would be objectively hilarious if it wasn't painfully dumb," another commented.
"For a woman who made the beginning of her career about kissing a girl, Katy Perry sure did just shit all over them with her vote," a fan shared.
As of this writing, NBC News live stats reports that Caruso is leading behind Bass in a neck-to-neck battle for LA Mayorship with 252,476 and 240,194, respectively.
