Drake and 21 Savage's controversial collaboration album "Her Loss" is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week.
The project, the first collaborative album he currently has, has been riddled with controversy in the past few days since its debut.
The duo is now in legal hot water after they were sued by Conde Nast after a fake Vogue magazine issue they released to promote their album. Twitter has also been relentless to Drake after dissing Megan Thee Stallion on one of his tracks.
But despite the backlash the two have received, Hits Daily Double has projected that "Her Loss" will dethrone Taylor Swift's "Midnights" after two weeks of consecutive stays at the summit.
This week, Swift's record-breaking "Midnights" has earned 332,000 album equivalent units - larger than the entire Top 7 of this week's albums.
Next week's charts are predicted to land Swift at No. 2 with 265,000 album equivalent units only, putting "Her Loss" at the top with a projected 400,000 album equivalent units.
Meanwhile, Lil Baby's "It's Only Me" dips to No. 3, followed by Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti," and Joji's "Smithereens" grand debut at No. 5. On the other hand, Takeoff & Quavo's "Only Built for Infinity Links" soared to No. 10 after the former's tragic death last week.
Meanwhile, Drake fans have been curious about which of the two albums that he released earlier this year has a bigger debut.
Drake's seventh studio album, "Honestly, Nevermind," is one of the biggest albums that was released this year.
But compared to "Her Loss," "Honestly, Nevermind" holds smaller opening week sales.
Although the final numbers aren't official yet, "Her Loss'" projected numbers of 400,000 is bigger than "Honestly, Nevermind's" 204,000 album units.
A circulating prediction on Twitter also proves how huge "Her Loss" is after early numbers say that eight spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 will be overtaken by Drake, leaving only Sam Smith and Kim Petras' "Unholy" and Taylor Swift's dethroned "Anti-Hero" on the mix.
Comparing it to "Honestly, Nevermind's" debut, "Jimmy Cooks" was the only song from the album to have reached the Top 10, which opened at No. 1 on its debut week last Jun. 17, 2022.
