Nicki Minaj will be performing at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 along with Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi.
Fatehi, a Canadian-Moroccan artist was already announced as one of the artists performing at the FIFA World Cup 2022 opening ceremony in Qatar this coming November 20, 2022, to December 18, 2022.
The Statesman, one of India's oldest English newspapers, confirmed the ongoing rumor on Twitter very recently.
According to other local outlets, Fatehi will be performing the already released 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022 anthem, "Light The Sky," with Minaj at the World Cup opening ceremony.
Released last October 7, 2022, "Light The Sky" originally featured Fatehi, Moroccan pop singer Manal, Iraqi singer Rahma Riad, and Yemeni songstress Balqees.
Minaj's participation in the actual song has yet to be confirmed, but it would be likely that she would be dropping a rap verse somewhere in the high-spirited four-minute football anthem.
Verified accounts on Twitter have already posted that two Nicki Minaj songs will be released in total.
Another ongoing unverified report is also making waves online, saying that the other song Nicki will be featured in is a song produced by RedOne, the same Moroccan music producer who worked with her on "Pound the Alarm" and "Starships." According to PopTingz, Minaj is collaborating with Latin Grammy-winning artist Maluma and Lebanese songstress Myriam Fares.
According to the official World Cup Qatar website, a full FIFA World Cup Official Soundtrack will be released along with various international artists collaborating for the mega album for the highly-anticipated world sporting event.
Two other songs were already released aside from "Light The Sky." The first one was "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)," a song by Mexican-African singer Trinidad Cardona, Nigerian singer Davido and AISHA.
Congolese-French Rappe Gims and Latino superstar Ozuna already dropped their collaboration song for the FIFA World Cup 2022 album, "Arhbo" last August 2022, along with a music video.
