Rihanna just dropped her second song, "Born Again," the highly-anticipated follow-up to her comeback single "Lift Me Up."
Both tracks are included on the official soundtrack of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," which is already out in theatres worldwide and in the United States.
While the anticipation for "Born Again" has been big in the past few days, it would seem like the public's reception on social media had been lukewarm and rather mixed.
After Marvel released the complete "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack last week, fans of the "California King Bed" singer had been asking - where the promised second song will be out.
"Someone said Rihanna had TWO songs on the Black Panther soundtrack. So wtf is the second one?!" a fan posted on Twitter.
Apparently, Rihanna's song "Born Again" was just delayed, as it was already released already.
However, since the announcement of its release, some were not that hyped anymore after the recent fuss on the singer's decision to include Johnny Depp at the "Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4."
Supposedly, Depp's involvement in the show was a secret, not until TMZ leaked the cameo last week, bewildering Rihanna fans on her decision to include the embattled actor.
"Rihanna i love you sis but i don't think thats-" a fan posted.
"HORRIFYING! @Rihanna Millions of women with definitive evidence, but no power or $, blocked by corrupt cops from any justice is STILL THE NORM around the world .. & you even consider this? I followed you from day 1 & supported all your work, but this is an ABSOLUTE dealbreaker," another user tweeted.
"I haven't forgiven her for allowing abusers in her show. I won't be streaming," a user shared.
As of this writing, Rihanna has not given any statements on the backlash that occurred after including Johnny Depp on the show.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is still set and ready to dominate the upcoming highly-anticipated Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime show in February 2023.
Earlier this year, RiRi surprised everyone with the sudden announcement of her comeback to music in an explosive Instagram post confirming the circulating rumors of her NFL headlining act.
Rumors of Rihanna's new album have also been up in the air lately as her 2016 album "Anti" is due for its very awaited follow-up.
