Just in time for her birthday!
Julia Michaels has offered "a piece of my heart" with her new single "Sorry To Me Too," which has been eagerly anticipated.
New Album Right on Birthday
This is the star's first solo release of the year, following "Only One" from 2021. Michaels debuted the tune on Instagram, telling fans that "right before my birthday" seemed like a wonderful moment to share a piece of her heart with the fans. She thanked those who have already shared excerpts and made videos.
"Sorry To Me Too" features the artist apologizing to a former partner for "ever believing you and putting my trust in you."
"Baby I'm sorry to me, to me too," she sings on the gently distorted chorus, adding later that she treated someone like God and that as a result, she had a hard time getting over the person.
Michaels' highly anticipated debut album, "Not In Chronological Order," was released by Republic Records last year.
She said she has never been more vulnerable or pleased than she was when putting together this record.
In addition to her own songs, the artist has lent her songwriting skills to the likes of Marcus Mumford, Ellie Goulding, John Legend, Sabrina Carpenter, and others thus far in 2018. For Mumford, she co-wrote "Prior Warning," which debuted on his solo album, while Michaels is recognized for Goulding's collaboration with Big Sean on "Easy Lover."
