Taylor Swift showed her power once again after her fans crashed Ticketmaster's website on the day of the ticket sale for the "Eras" tour.
Amid Swift's unstoppable releases in the past months, she confirmed her touring return after five years with her "Eras" tour, which would start on Mar. 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona.
Months before her first concert since her 2018 "Reputation" album tour, Ticketmaster opened the pre-selling on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, the website crashed because of a "historically unprecedented demand" happened.
On Ticketmaster's official Twitter account, it shared an update regarding the crash after millions of fans visited the site to buy tickets.
"Hundreds of tickets have been sold. If you have already secured tickets, you are all set. If you are currently in a queue, please hang tight - queues are moving, and we are working on getting fans through as quickly as possible," the update reads.
The scheduled 10:00 a.m. pre-sale for Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, and Seattle was moved to 3:00 p.m. PT. Ticketmaster also created queues 30 minutes before the selling officially started.
Meanwhile, the Capital One onsale was moved the next day.
Downdetector, according to Variety, monitored complaints regarding the crash minutes before the sale began. Technical problems then began to surface as fans tried to buy tickets.
Swift's "Eras" tour tickets cost $49 to $449. Meanwhile, fans can avail of VIP packages at $199 to $899.
Due to this problem, Ticketmaster asked for everyone's understanding as it continued to work on the issue to promote smooth transactions for all.
After the event happened, fans called out Ticketmaster and referred to it as the "hunger games" in real life.

Taylor Swift's Record-Breaking Stint
While the website crash proved the power of Swift and her fandom, the singer showed what she's got when she officially made history on Billboard's Hot 100.
Following the release of the "Midnights" album, Swift became the first artist in history to have 10 songs on the Top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 in a single week. She beat Drake, who previously made a record by having nine out of 10 songs on the chart following his "Certified Lover Boy" release.
Swift's "Anti Hero" took the top spot, with "Lavender Haze," "Maroon," "Snow on the Beach," "Midnight Rain," "Bejeweled," "Question...?," "You're on Your Own, Kid," "Karma" and "Vigilante Shit," completing the top 10.
