Kelly Rowland became viral just after she did something savage at this year's American Music Awards.
The former Destiny's Child member was enraged when the audience booed Chris Brown following his category win.
Per Page Six, Kelly stated that the "With You" hitmaker had won the "Favorite Male R&B Artist" category and that she would collect the award on his place because he wasn't in attendance, the crowd booed the "Dilemma" hitmaker.
The 41-year-old, clearly unimpressed by the response, told the AMAs crowd, "Excuse me. Chill out."
The "Kisses Down Low" singer went on to call the 33-year-old singer an "incredible performer" and directly praised him, saying, "Chris, thank you so much for making great R&B music. I'll take this award and bring it to you."
However, there are varied reactions on social media to Kelly Rowland's defense of Chris Brown, who has previously been accused of violence towards women.
"Why was Kelly Rowland going so hard for Chris Brown on that stage?" one fan wondered.
"What the f--- is Chris Brown doing still collecting awards and why is Kelly Rowland up there praising his a-- wtf really," one social media user asked.
Chris made news in 2009 for attacking his then-girlfriend Rihanna on Grammy night, as previously reported.
After leaving the "We Found Love" singer bloodied and battered, he was charged with criminal assault.
While many were outraged by Kelly's actions, others backed her, with one person tweeting, "Thank you Kelly Rowland for that true love you just gave Chris Brown for winning."
"I don't understand why people were booing Chris Brown at the AMAs, and I'm pleased Kelly Rowland put it down," said another.
The "Look At Me Now" singer beat out the other finalists. The award was handed at the Microsoft Theater to Brent Faiyaz, Giveon, The Weeknd, and Lucky Daye.
Per Yahoo, Chris Brown was supposed to perform a Michael Jackson tribute at the American Music Awards, but it was canceled at the last minute.
He even posted a video of himself practicing the musical routine on Instagram with the remark, "U SERIOUS? "
The video featured a group of female backing dancers and Chris doing choreography to a medley of his song, "Under the Influence," blended with many of Michael Jackson's songs, including "Billie Jean," "Beat It," "Thriller," and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."
