Shania Twain has been one of the pillars of the country music industry for years now and it's about time for her to receive the music icon award at this year's People's Choice Awards; where and how can fans watch it? Find out below!

According to The Music Universe, the country singer will be honored for her contribution to the industry for the past four decades, including being the top-selling female country pop artist of all time for her songs "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!", and many more.

Aside from receiving the big honor for the evening, Twain is also expected to perform some of her greatest hits, including her most recent release, "Waking Up Dreaming."

This would be the musician's comeback to the People Choice Awards' stage in more than 10 years as the last time she received an award was in 2005 for Favorite Country Female Singer.

Reacting to her upcoming award, Twain said she's "incredibly honored" to be named a music icon.

She went on to express her gratitude to her supporters, saying her fans have been with her since her early days in the industry and their love is one of the reasons why she still performs.

"I'm thrilled to go back on tour and bring my new music and fan favorites to them, and what better way to start than at the People's Choice Awards!" she added.

The 2022 PCAs will air on NBC and E! on December 6, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will be live from the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.
