Whenever artists perform at their concerts, there are fans who cannot contain their excitement to the point that they crash the stage to meet their idols face-to-face. This is what happened with The Black Crowes recently, but guitarist Rich Robinson isn't happy with the situation.
According to Consequence Sound, the rock band performed at their show in Melbourne, Australia. As the Robinson brothers play "Stare It Cold," an Australian fan immediately rushes to the stage and got close to bassist Steve Pippen.
The security team quickly took action by assisting him off-stage, but they were unsuccessful as the unnamed man was able to free himself.
Rich Robinson then interjected and appeared to be annoyed, leading him to slam the guitar into the fan's head and chest.
It didn't stop there as singer Chris Robinson also got involved by taking a swing at the fan with his microphone stand. Following this, the man was finally escorted off stage before anything worse happens.
After the incident, The Black Crowes went on with their show and continued performing as if nothing had happened.
As of this writing, none of the band members has yet to publicly comment regarding the issue.
According to the band's website, their next concert would be at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Cobb County, Georgia, on December 15. Tickets and complete concert dates are available on their official page.
Not The Only Stagecrashing Incident in Recent Months
It appears that there are also other cases of stage crashers in other rock bands as Rage Against The Machine also experienced a similar situation during their show last July.
According to NME, Tom Morello was tackled by security after a concertgoer rushed to the stage during their concert at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.
As seen on videos circulating online, the unnamed fan was able to go up on stage while the group was performing their final song "Killing In The Name."
A security staff acted quickly and attempted to get the man off the stage. The musician was accidentally tackled by security and the fan fell into the pit.
Frontman Zack de la Rocha later addressed the crowd, telling them to don't try to go up on stage before adding, "We're cool, we love y'all... but don't do that."
