Daniel Radcliffe is busy promoting his new movie The F Word, so long-winded monologues about relationships, G-strings and nudity are not totally out of place at this time.
But the Harry Potter actor recently threw a curveball during an interview with AndPop in which he extolled the virtues of taking relationship advice from... wait for it... Eminem.
Prompted by host Simon Mohos to discuss the rapper, Radcliffe made zero effort to hide his love for Slim Shady.
He even lifted a few lines from "Desperation," a bonus track off 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2:
"I'm at a loss for words," he raps. "My mind's as lost as yours / I rack my brain but still no thoughts emerge."
At this juncture, Radcliffe abruptly cuts off.
"It starts swearing so I won't do that," he says.
While Radcliffe probably doesn't appreciate old-school, misogynist Eminem like Chris Pratt does, the English actor has been able relate with the more low-key works — you know, the ones where Em doesn't murder his own wife or throw her body into the ocean.
"I do like that song ("Desperation") because it's a song about being so in love with somebody that you're going insane, and figuring out if it's love or not," he says. "It's kind of great."
And, Radcliffe reveals, the music for his new film would be much different if he was at the helm.
"He's not a natural choice to like, soundtrack this film," Radcliffe says. "But if I directed it I would've found a lot more room for Eminem songs. He's got a way of talking to women."
He sure does.
