Recording artists Neil Perry, Kimberly Perry and Reid Perry of The Band Perry onstage during FOX's 2014 Teen Choice Awards at The Shrine Auditorium on August 10, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
In an interview with Billboard, Kimberly said, "My brothers and I just fell in love with the interaction with the students and teaching them about the freedom of driving experiences for the first time. But also putting a light on the responsibility that goes along with that. With The Band Perry, everything begins and ends with our fans. So whether we're in Medina, Ohio, or at Madison Square Garden, we know there are teenagers in the audience who are going to leave the show and get in their car to go home -- we just ask they do that safely."
High schools in the U.S. and Canada can win big while being safe. Between October 15 and October 24, 2014, students at registered schools will be able to make safe driving commitments (one per day, per email address) at www.celebratemydrive.com. The 100 high schools with the most commitments made can win some pretty amazing prizes:
- 90 schools will receive $25,000 grants
- 10 schools will receive $100,000 grants
- 2 schools will win a concert (each) by The Band Perry
