Kanye West has lost friends, admirers, and billions of dollars in business negotiations due to his antisemitic comments, but he's not that in despair. In fact, he has high hopes of becoming the President - following the footsteps of the equally controversial Donald Trump. The thing is, he seems to have sucessfully scared off the ex-president.
West has now befriended the white nationalist Nick Fuentes, adding to the criticisms that can be thrown at him. This past week, West and the YouTuber who lost his account for breaking the platform's hate speech guidelines were pictured together at LAX.
Video of the duo's arrival at MIA confirmed that they were actually traveling through the terminal shoulder-to-shoulder, as we were informed that they were in route to Miami.
Kanye tweeted on Tuesday that he would be traveling to former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate...so he could invite him to be his running mate.
However, In a video posted on Thursday, in which he announced his candidacy for president in 2024, West disclosed that he and Fuentes met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago - and that things got heated between himself and 45, with the rapper alleging that Trump made disparaging remarks about his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

However, Trump relayed a very different version of events, admitting how shocked he was to be in a meeting with West's friend, when there was no such agreement.
Trump responded with a statement to West's version of events and said that he and West had planned to have dinner alone, but he arrived with a visitor he had never met and knew nothing about.
For Trump not to know anything about Fuentes seems farfetched though.
Fuentes is well-known in right-wing circles and would have had to pass past Mar-a-security Lago's in order to attend the meal. For his abusive beliefs, 24-year-old Fuentes has been banned from platforms such as Twitter, Twitch, and Reddit.
After attending the Unite the Right demonstration in 2017, it was reported that he spoke favourably about "a surge of white identity." He has denounced individuals who call him a white nationalist, calling the word a "slur against the white race."
Obviously, Kanye has made antisemitic sentiments, backing down on them on several occasions, and in 2019 Fuentes compared the Holocaust to a cookie-baking business, leading to his labeling as a Holocaust denier. Fuentes has subsequently stated he was joking when he made the statement. Uncertain as to how long they've been hanging out or why they're together, Kanye and Nick's growing connection demonstrates that Ye is still not adverse to controversy, even after losing a couple billion dollars.
But Trump is, as ironic as that may sound.
Good thing though that Kanye West is still finding hope in the presidential run, because his music and fashion career are presently in ruins.
As corporate partners sever ties with the artist now known as Ye following weeks of antisemitic statements, many question whether his discography, which served as his foundation, will withstand the backlash.
