Hovain Hylton's Legacy
Hylton exposed himself to music at a young age, helping him to feel confident in working in the industry.
He started his career by working with late boxing promoter Butch Lewis, and the experience reportedly helped him to become "self-made." He then collaborated with Randall "Sicakamore" Medford to work on Famous Firm.
From there, the duo managed artists, including Tommy Hilfiger's son, Rich Hill. Hylton and Medford also notably launched the Famous Factory live show with XXL Magazine.
After expanding his career, he launched his own company Hovain Hylton Management, which worked on "marketing, crafting unprecedented branding deals."
He also worked with several New York rappers, including Lloyd Banks, Styles P, and Cam'ron.
Before his death, Hylton shared an inspiring message about getting the right deal in life instead of working on just any deal.
Billboard also awarded him as a leading music executive a week before his passing.
