Megan Thee Stallion is bound to release her third album in 2023, all amid the recent fiasco involving her previous music label, 1501 Entertainment, is having recently.
In a Forbes profile, Megan Thee Stallion reveals her authentic self during her monumental Saturday Night Live hosting and musical guest opportunity earlier this year.
"I can't slow down right now. I'll take a break when I'm dead," she said while running backstage for a quick change. "I'm trying to really build something. When I start sitting, I feel like I'm not doing enough or I'm giving somebody else the opportunity to pass me."
Per the publication, the female rapper was estimated to have earned around $13 million in 2022 alone - a combination of her ticket sales, endorsements, merchandise, and music royalties.
Aside from her meteoric rise to fame, Megan's life was also riddled with controversy as she was embroiled in various issues in the past few years.
In 2020, she claimed to have been shot in the foot by then-friend Tory Lanez. The case then escalated into a huge media circus - the trial between the two is now headed to a heated trial in December.
Aside from this, Meg is embroiled in a high-profile legal headache with 1501 Entertainment, her previous music label.
In a high-profile lawsuit she filed in 2020, she alleged that 1501 Entertainment, thru Carl Crawford, "tricked" her into signing an "unconscionable" record deal in 2018 - a thing that she had not realized until she signed up with Roc Nation later on.
Earlier this year, she also filed a separate lawsuit against the music label, accusing them of declassifying her album "Something For Thee Hotties." The label fought back, alleging that the album did not meet the qualifications for it to be called an album. "Something for Thee Hotties" is Megan's compilation album that contains 21 tracks.
Now, amid all of the ruckus in her life, Megan is looking straight ahead.
According to Forbes, Megan Thee Stallion's new album is bound to release next year in 2023, along with her upcoming world tour.
Aside from this, the singer has inked a deal with Netflix to create a show for her - a show based on her childhood, and a $3 million deal for her life documentary.
