Over the weekend, Saweetie was forced to respond to a critic who had criticized her allegedly weak first-week record sales. The numbers have confounded many, but this does not mean Saweetie is taking it just sitting down, especially when a rude aspiring musician commented on it.

The "Best Friend" rapper called out a Twitter user who claimed that her most recent EP, "The Single Life," barely sold 2,000 copies. "hate march... That must be me, that b**ch! On Twitter, Saweetie first wrote, "[kiss emoji]".

As she called out his "1 monthly listener" on Spotify, the "High Maintenance" artist then turned the jokes on the aspiring musician.

She then listed some of the essential words and definitions she frequently employs.

In a recent interview with VIBE, Saweetie said of "The Single Life" that she basically feels like she took a year off. Therefore, she wouldn't be doing myself or the world any favors if I just threw a ton of music at them and say this is her debut album.

This is why she had to release music she loves by loving herself first, she shared.

As to those dismal numbers, the rude aspiring musician did not just conjure that somewhere. Although he is the only one to use it against Saweetie. Others who commented said the numbers must be wrong.

Sonny Digital has sort of defended Saweetie while criticizing the situation of hip-hop album sales. The renowned producer couldn't understand how an artist like Saweetie could amass millions of followers and likes on social media but only convert those numbers into a 2,000 record sales prediction for her new EP THE SINGLE LIFE, which is an unconfirmed statistic.

The company tweeted that for someone with 13 million followers, thousands of likes on every photo, yet her album only sold 2000 copies, that is absurd. The company added that math ain't adding up. If they were Sawettie, they would probably just erase all of their social media because the platform is certainly lying to her, the company added.

However, DJ Vlad found the time to poke fun at Saweetie, claiming if she has done an interview with him, the numbers would not have been that dismal. So loss on her for telling him no. Wow.

DJ Vlad apparently said sorry though for this ridiculous comment.
