The long wait is over! SZA has finally unveiled the official album artwork of her highly-anticipated sophomore album "S.O.S." and many fans have been pointing out that it's similar to one of Princess Diana's famous photographs; was she inspired by the late royal?
In the album cover, the singer, who sported a jersey with her name written on it and the word "S.O.S.," can be seen sitting in the bowsprit of a yacht in the middle of the ocean.
The R&B star gracefully poses and faces the direction where the sun is based on lighting.
After the photo made rounds online, many fans pointed out that the album artwork is similar to a famous photo of the late Princess of Wales.
"What came to mind was that one picture of Princess Diana," one wrote. "That was clearly a reference to the princess Diana," another user pointed out.
The Story Behind Princess Diana's Photograph
According to Pure Wow, the photo of the late royal sitting on a diving board was taken in the South of France at Mohamed Al Fayed's private yacht called the "Jonikal."
In the snap, Princess Diana of Wales can be seen alone as she looks behind her while a seagull flies above her head.

The outlet noted that there's a bigger context behind the photograph of what the royal was feeling at the time. She appeared to be calm and serene while enjoying the view of the ocean by herself.
No one was ready of what was about to happen at the time when the photo was released. A few days after the image was taken in August 24, 1997, the royal passed away in a car accident with her beau, Mohamed Al Fayed.
As of this writing, SZA has not confirmed if the official album artwork of "S.O.S." was inspired by Princess Diana.
