And The Harp was finally revealed!
From the start, fans already knew who was behind the mask. Belting out one of the best-selling songs of all time, "I Have Nothing," fans were quick to determine whose voice was singing that already.
After twelve episodes of "The Masked Singer" Season 8, The Harp is finally revealed - and just like everyone said, it was "Glee" alum Amber Riley.
The two-hour season finale, aired Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, saw the judges: Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarty Walhberg, debate it out between The Lambs and The Harp.
Turns out, The Lambs are none other than the 90s group Wilson Phillips, composed of Chynna Phillips and sisters Wendy and Carrie Wilson.
However, for Riley, who captured the hearts of viewers ever since her first performance on the first episode, it was a full circle moment.
In one of her finale songs, Riley, as The Harp, sang Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory," a song she had performed on the hit Musical Comedy show "Glee," as Mercedes Jones, with Jenna Ushkowitz, Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, and the late Naya Rivera.
For "Glee" fans, they have known it was Riley from the first. Thanks to her iconic raspy, and soulful voice, Nicole Scherzinger already had a hint of who she was.
Upon the grand and final reveal, everyone was gobsmacked by Riley's dramatic reveal.
After accepting the trophy, Riley had this to say: "This has been such an amazing experience. Just to be able to come out here and be completely covered and let my talent speak for itself," she shared. "The love that I have for people and wanting people to heal and feel what it is that I'm singing. So, I hope everybody felt my soul because I buried it right here on the stage."
Aside from "Edge of Glory," Riley also sang John Mayer's "Gravity" during the finale. She also performed Lizzo's "About Damn Time," Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone," and Pink's "Perfect," to say a few.
After her triumphant win, Riley is set to appear at "The Masked Singer Christmas Sing-A-Long." The special Christmas episode will air next week with special holiday-themed performances from Riley, Chris Jericho, Wilson Phillips, and Nikki Glaser. (via Billboard)
Speaking more about her win, Riley joked to Billboard about taking home the crown.
"It felt fitting because I am a queen anyway! Just kidding! It felt great because it was so cool. We're Americans, so we don't have kings and queens. If you want to give me a crown, I'll take it," she said.
