Aside from being a successful musician in the music industry, Madonna also has film credits under her belt, proving that she is a versatile performer. More recently, "Stranger Things" star David Harbour recalls being invited to an audition for a movie being produced by the queen of pop herself; what happened during their encounter?

Appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" the actor revealed that the "Material Girl" songstress invited him to audition for the 2011 movie "W.E."

The movie revolves around the story of Edward VIII's wife Wallis Simpson and Wally Winthrop.

Harbour said he got a call from a casting director he's familiar with and they invited him for a "top secret movie read-through."

The only instruction he received was to show up at a specific location and go into a room before he got spared with the details. He found the experience "really weird and creepy" as details behind the audition weren't revealed to him.

Madonna Finds David Harbour Sexy

At the time, the director, who was Madonna, was not disclosed, but he was told the person behind the movie found him sexy after watching him in the 2008 film "Revolutionary Road."

"So all weekend, I was literally thinking about Ridley Scott and Martin Scorsese," he joked. (via New York Post)

By the time he went to the top-secret audition, he found himself surrounded by other New York actors and was surprised to see Madonna walk in.

"The first thing that flooded over me, I was like, 'Wow, Madonna thinks I'm sexy,'" he said.

It appears that Harbour is familiar with Madonna since he was a kid as he has a crush on him after seeing her in the music video for "Open Your Heart" at the age of 11.

Revealing his true feelings over the audition, the actor said it was "truly harrowing" and "exciting."

"W.E." didn't become successful at the box office as it only earned $2 million.

When working on the movie, the actor admitted that Madonna was "incredible" and "genius" for being the director, but there were times that she'd come in before they start and told the staff that "this is terrible."

David Harbour is currently the star of the Holiday-themed action/comedy film "Violent Night."
