Dua Lipa's new album has been one of the most awaited projects recently; thanks to the success of her most recent one, "Future Nostalgia," fans have been nothing but excited for its arrival.
Lipa, who had recently spoken out against her rumored FIFA World Cup performance, has also given her loyal fans a huge update on her upcoming new album.
Speaking to Variety about it, Lipa revealed that her new album had taken a "complete turn" since her last announcement.
"Well, when I was speaking to Elton I really felt like I was halfway done," she revealed. "But it's taken a complete turn as I've carried on working, and I really feel now that it's starting to sound cohesive. So I'm going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me."
Commonly, pop artists like Dua Lipa and others tend to stray away from the sound and vibe of their earlier albums to the next. But for Dua Lipa's new album, she assured her fans otherwise.
"The album is different - it's still pop but it's different sonically, and there's more of a lyrical theme. If I told you the title, everything would make sense - but I think we'll just have to wait."
In the past few months, when asked about her new album, Dua Lipa has given significant hints about her progress so far.
Continuing her revelations, Lipa hyped up the anticipation of her fans on the new album in September 2022. "As I'm writing my new album: I feel even more liberated in a completely different way. And even more in control than I thought," she told Vogue Australia.
The new Dua Lipa album has an enormous task to amount to the greatness of its predecessor, "Future Nostalgia." Released in 2020, the album landed Lipa her third Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and an Album of the Year nomination.
