Britney Spears is known for a lot of things. She's a talented singer with numerous hits under her belt, and she also happens to be one of the biggest stars during the early 2000s.
Her story is one that many will remember. Her highs and lows will forever be cemented in pop culture history, but her fame and success are mainly attributed to her music.
Music is what Spears is originally known for and now it will be celebrated in a major way-it's going to Broadway!
According to reports, a Britney Spears-inspired musical is coming to the big stage in June 2023.
Broadway announced the exciting news through their website. The announcement reads: Every fortnight, when our storybook heroines gather for book club, they always discuss the same book, 'Grimm's Fairy Tales'-because as far as they know, it's the only book that's ever been written.
"That's when a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique into their corseted laps. From now on, 'happily ever after' will never be the same. It's the ultimate revisionist fairy tale that'll make you feel stronger than yesterday."
The musical will reportedly come to life with the magic of the discography of the 41-year-old singer, including her classic and greatest hits "Oops I Did It Again," "Lucky," "Circus," and Toxic.
Moreover, fans will be delighted to know that their favorite fairytale princesses, Cinderella, Snow White, and Little Mermaid will all be singing some of the aforementioned songs, and their stories will have a feminine twist, Variety reports.

What Took So Long?
According to reports, "Once Upon a One More Time," was supposed to go for a pre-Broadway back in 2019 in Chicago at the James M. Nederlander Theatre, but pushed back its debut to 2020.
However, due to the pandemic, the musical was canceled, as per its producers. Fortunately for fans, the musical was simply put on the back burner until all was well with the lockdown.
In December 2021, "Once Upon a One More Time" premiered at Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C.
The musical was an instant hit and had to extend its limited engagement from Jan. 3 to 9.
Hypebae reports that the musical is produced by James L. Nederlander and Hunter Arnold, and directed and choreographed by Keone and Mari Madrid.
Reports also note that Spears is not included in the production of "Once Upon a One More Time" whatsoever, but she approves and is incredibly supportive of the musical.
"I'm so excited to have a musical with my songs-especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore," she gushed after attending an early reading of the musical back in 2019.
Much like the princesses in the musical, Spears exclaimed that "Once Upon a One More Time" "is a dream come true for [her]."
