Born on Dec. 5, 1998, Conan Lee Gray was a California native as he was born in Lemon Grove. Conan Gray is now 24 years old.

Surprisingly, Conan has Irish ancestry and a Japanese mother. When he was a child, his family moved back to Hiroshima, Japan, since his grandfather required medical care. They did not last long in Japan though and returned back to California after two years.

In the past, Conan Gray knows how to speak Japanese fluently, but as he grew older, he lost his proficiency in speaking.

Conan Gray started vlogging in 2013 at the age of fifteen. He posted videos mainly about his love for baking and his everyday life. He has also given focused on his daily life in Texas, as he had expressed appreciation for Americana-related nostalgia.

He then utilized his YouTube platform to introduce people to his music. He released his debut single, "Idle Town" in 2017 on the platform, and eventually, his debut extended play "Sunset Season."

The project peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Charts and No. 116 on the genre-blending Billboard 200 albums.

Instead, Anitta, Omar Apollo, Domi & JD Beck, Latto, Samara Joy, Maneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle, and Muni Long were the only nominees for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
