Takeoff's accused killer maintained his innocence through his attorney, saying that he was not involved in the shooting in any way.

The authorities arrested the 33-year-old man named Patrick Xavier Clark "peacefully" on Thursday on a murder charge. He is currently jailed on a $2 million bond after Takeoff's death.

He has since appeared before the court as the prosecutors, and his defense attorneys decided to hold a bond reduction hearing and agreed to meet again on December 14.

As reported by Billboard, it was noted that the accused man was handcuffed during Monday's hearing. While he refused to say anything about the case, one of his attorneys insisted that his client is innocent.

According to Letitia Quinones, Clark is nervous and concerned as he is being charged with something he never did.

"He's being charged with something that he believes he's innocent of, so how would anyone do in that type of circumstance?" she said.

Despite the arrest, police continue their investigation and start talking to people present at the scene but left without giving their statements.

Before Clark's arrest, a 22-year-old man named Cameron Joshua was also charged with two counts of a felon - felony to possess a firearm and unlawfully carrying a weapon. He was not charged over Takeoff's death, but the authorities have since noted that he was already a previously convicted felon who "unlawfully, intentionally, and knowingly possessed a firearm at a location other than the premises at which the Defendant lived."

Offset Marks Return to Stage for Takeoff

In other news, Takeoff's cousin and Migos co-member, Offset, officially started performing again a month after the rapper's tragic death.

He performed at E11EVEN on Friday morning, and he told the attendees that they were doing the show in Takeoff's honor.

Things have been tough for him and even Cardi B became hopeless in making him happy. She revealed in a since-deleted tweet that she saw her husband break down and cry suddenly in the past weeks.

Still, the "WAP" singer assured the fans that Offset is making efforts to distract himself.

Takeoff died on November 1 after a shooting happened outside a downtown Houston bowling alley. He and Quavo attended a private party before the altercation broke out and led to the shooting incident.

Fans and his colleagues remembered his legacy during a Celebration of Life at the State Farm Arena on November 11.
