Caroline Polacheck may have canceled her tour this year but it was all worth it for fans as she's now set to release a new album in a few months.

According to Pitchfork, the alternative pop singer's new record is titled "Desire, I Want to Turn Into You" and it will be available for streaming and purchase this coming Valentine's Day, February 14, 2023, via Perpetual Novice.

To hype her fans up even more, the "Pang" hitmaker dropped a new single called "Welcome to My Island" produced by Olivia Rodrigo's collaborator Dan Nigro, Jim-E Stack, Danny L Harle, and Polacheck herself.

The 37-year-old pop star also unveiled the official artwork of her upcoming record featuring herself crawling in the sand-filled aisle of a train wearing a dress and headphones. The image was photographed by Aidan Zamiri.

This isn't the first time the singer teased her fans regarding a new album as she already dropped two singles earlier this year titled "Billions" and "Sunset," and another one in 2021 called "Bunny Is a Rider."

The outlet noted that the three previously-released projects as well as her recent one would be a part of the album's official tracklist.

"Desire, I Want to Turn Into You" is the follow-up to her first solo album "Pang," released in 2019. Since her first release, she already collaborated with some of the most popular artists in the industry like Christine and the Queens, Hyd, Murkage Dave, Flume, Charli XCX, and many more.

The latest announcement comes weeks after Polacheck dropped her song "Sunset." Explaining the background of her single, the pop star said the song's title is "the biggest pop cliche ever" as it was a perfect resolution.

Inspired by Italian musician Ennio Morricone, the singer added that the "epic tone of spaghetti western sunset" played on her mind.

Caroline Polacheck Cancels 2022 Tour

The "Breathless" hitmaker previously delivered bad news to her fans as she announced that her 2022 tour across the United Kingdom and Europe is canceled. She will also not join Flume for his shows in Australia.

The only set of shows she didn't cancel was her appearance at the Primavera Sound festival in early November.

Giving fans an explanation why she decided to halt her performances, Polacheck said it's been an "exhilirating year" of playing in front of her fans and she loved every bit of it, but she needed more time to finish her new album.

"This record has been a slower process for me because of all the touring during its making but it's been so worth it," she wrote in an Instagram post.
