One lucky fan was able to snag concert tickets for a Metallica concert after sharing his cover of one of Taylor Swift's most popular songs today, and he sang it in the style of James Hetfield.
According to Loudwire, a heavy metal fan named Tim called "The Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show" when he found out that the radio program was giving away free passes to the band's show at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey next year.
The requirement was fans who call should sing any song of their choice but in the style of the Metallica frontman. (listen to the recording below posted on Tim's YouTube channel)
Tim surprised the hosts and other listeners as he belted out an unusual song to sing for a heavy metal cover, Swift's "Anti-Hero."
Fortunately for the fan, he beat the other contestant by two votes. The other caller reportedly did his rendition of "Panama" by Van Halen.
After singing the song, Tim was asked how he knew the song, revealing that his wife is obsessed with Taylor Swift and also trying to get tickets for the pop star's show at the Metlife Stadium.
The host jokingly said of the ticket fiasco, "oh like the rest of the world."
