Becky G is finally engaged to her longtime boyfriend Sebastian Lletget after six years of dating. The singer shared pictures of the proposal as well as a close-up of the big diamond she is now sporting on her finger!
The singer and soccer player shared the exciting news through a series of sweet and romantic pictures on Instagram, and captioned it with "our spot forever."
The pictures show off Lletget getting down on one knee as he proposed to the "Shower" singer, another one shows them in an embrace, and the last picture is the newly engaged couple sporting huge smiles and showing the oval rock on Becky G's finger.
Friends and fans took to the comment section to congratulate the pair, and even Lletget's team, the FC Dallas expressed their excitement by commenting, "OMG OMG OMG."
Becky G even opened up about her relationship with People the previous month.
Perhaps she was hinting at their engagement or simply describing their relationship, the singer said "We've been together for over six years now and it's brand new in many ways because we're really embracing the shifts and changes that are happening in our lives, within ourselves and supporting each other in that. And you can't really force things. But recently things have really been aligning."
Relationship
According to Billboard, Becky G and Lletget have been together since 2016. They reportedly met while she was filming "Power Rangers", and they had formed a friendship prior to dating.
They met through Naomi Scott, who starred in "Power Rangers" with Becky G, and Jordan Spence who was Lletget's teammate.
The "Sin Pijama" singer explained how they not only deeply love each other, but also respect each other due to their differences and similarities. "We relate to each other so much, because he started working at such a young age. We both know the sacrifices that we put in as well as our families."
They have been incredibly supportive of each other's careers as well. Lletget would often be seen accompanying Becky G on red-carpet appearances, while Becky G would be frequently seen supporting her soccer star beau.
In an interview, the singer explained that their schedules are always full, but they always make time for each other.
"He's an athlete. I'm traveling and touring all the time. We're both super busy, but when you don't even have to think twice, you don't have to doubt your relationship with someone," she told Entertainment Tonight. "And you can just be who you are and be inspired by that person to be better, that is something really beautiful, and I have never really experienced that before."
