Megan Thee Stallion failed to hold back her tears when she took the stand in Tory Lanez's assault case.

Two years after the alleged shooting incident, Megan went to the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles to attend the Tuesday trial. PEOPLE shared copies of the rapper's photos taken before she entered the building.

The court invited the 27-year-old "Savage" hitmaker to the witness stand to ask for her statement regarding the 2020 incident. Reports revealed that Lanez shot her in the foot thrice after telling her to dance.

When she faced the court, Megan emotionally expressed how she did not feel good about recalling the incident that left her traumatized.

Senior reporter for Rolling Stone, Nancy Dillon, quoted the female rapper saying, "I don't feel good. I can't believe I have to come up here and do this."

Megan was also reportedly asked whether she was nervous as her voice cracked while giving her account.

She shared her personal relationships with Lanez and her former friend Kelsey Nicole, who was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident. She outed expletive words as she slammed the two.

According to Megan, she exited the vehicle while they were on the main street she was not familiar with. Due to her celebrity status, she decided to get back inside the vehicle. However, Lanez reportedly shot her before she was able to get near the car.

Buzzfeed News reported that prosecutors revealed during the Monday opening statements that three gunshot wounds were found on her foot. They also noted that it started after Megan criticized Lanez's musical skills.

Tory Lanez Pleads Not Guilty

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, maintained his innocence over the claims. Still, he was charged with felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

If proven guilty after the trial, he could face more than 22 years of imprisonment.

In October, Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott ruled that he posed a danger to society and even broke the court orders that he should not come near Megan.

His house arrest was terminated earlier this month to allow him to prepare for the assault trial.

While some fans already painted Megan as a liar for lying about the shooting incident, the female rapper told Rolling Stone that she felt like she became the villain in the case. She also said she wanted to see him spend years behind bars for shooting her.
