Michael Bublé declared his love for Lewis Capaldi on Monday in an attempt to end their seasonal dispute.
The pair are presently slugging it out for the Christmas number one chart slot along with Cliff Richard and Stormzy.
After the Scottish singer, 26, joked that he's "looking for" the Canadian crooner, Michael Bublé shared a video message on TikTok which started: "This is a message for Lewis Capaldi, if you aren't then scroll on."
@michaelbuble #greenscreen @lewiscapaldi your song #pointless is a Christmas gift to the world. God bless us everyone. #holidayplaylist #gamerecognizegame ♬ Pointless - Lewis Capaldi
He continued, "Hey Lewis now that I have you here alone let me just tell you how deeply crushed I am that my music could ever get in the way of your song going number one."
He also said, "It's an amazing song and you're an amazing dude. I'm putting it on my Christmas playlist right now! 'Pointless is so beautiful, if it doesn't go number one Christmas should be canceled and maybe even Hanukkah and maybe that's too far I don't know but I do know this, I love you Lewis Capaldi."
It comes after Lewis began an unusual fight with Michael, 47, as they compete for the top spot on the charts. The musicians new track Pointless is presently in the UK top 50 in among other historic Christmas songs like Michael Bublé's classic "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" which was released 11 years ago.
Lewis Capaldi, who co-wrote the song with Ed Sheeran, stated during his performance at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball that no one warned him that it was probably a horrible idea to release a song with no allusion to Christmas during the holiday season.
Christmas tunes are absolutely dominating the Billboard charts. He joked that so if anyone sees Michael Bublé, they should let him know that he's looking for him because he got a gripe to grind with Mr Bublé.
Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, Capital's Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard included a spectacular performance by Lewis. The musician took the stage and consoled England's fans after their tragic loss to France in the World Cup, before teasing them that Ed Sheeran would join him for a duet.
After learning that England had been eliminated from the Qatar World Cup following their 1-2 loss to France, he exclaimed that it was a terrible day, England have been eliminated from the World Cup.
The Scottish singer, who cut a casual figure in a black jacket, matching pants, and a white T-shirt, continued that he's going to attempt to lighten the mood here because he's Scottish, before telling the audience not to boo his nationality.
He told the audience, jokingly, that he had requested Ed Sheeran to perform at the Jingle Bell Ball, "Ladies and gentleman Ed Sheeran! He's not here, I did ask him but he said who is this? Stop calling me? So no Ed!"
It comes after Lewis made fun of Ed Sheeran for surpassing him with the most-streamed song of all time in the United Kingdom. With his 2018 single "Someone You Loved," the artist has dislodged Ed Sheeran's 2017 single "Shape Of You" from the top spot, thanks to an outstanding honor.
