Fall Out Boy continues to tease their fans about an upcoming album as they recently sent out mysterious postcards from a place called "Pink Seashell Beach;" are they returning soon?
According to Kerrang!, the band sent out mysterious postcards to their supporters. The cards feature texts that read "Greetings from: Pink Seashell Beach."
The photo in the card appears to be in a seashore with buildings surrounding it as well as a giant pink seashell in the lower-right corner.
At the back, it appears to be lyrics from an upcoming song that reads, "I saw you in a bright clear field. Hurricane heat in my head. The kind of pain you feel to get good in the end. Inscribed like stone and faded by the rain: 'Give up what you love give up what you love before it does you in..."
Fall Out Boy also launched a new website called sendingmylovefrompinkseashellbeach.com which warns fans to "not open before Christmas," which are lyrics from their song "Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued" from the album "From Under The Cork Tree."
It appears that the band will release new music before the holidays, but they have yet to announce anything on social media.
Not The First Hint From Fall Out Boy
The recent teaser comes two weeks after fans noticed that there's a mysterious advertisement that appeared on the November 26 issue of the Chicago Tribune.
On the newspaper's seventh page, an ad featured big text that reads "FOB 8" and "If you build it, they will come."
Fans on Reddit are convinced that Fall Out Boy is indeed returning as the number eight refers to a new album because they have seven records under their belt so far.
"chicago, older movie phrase, cryptic announcement, and this kinda font/style, I'd say that is 100% a new era announced for FOB. like, is there even any doubt at this point? I'm stoked and can't wait to listen to a new song," one wrote on the community platform.
Their last album, "Mania," was released in 2018 under Island. It featured some of their famous songs like "Young and Menace," "HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T," "Heaven's Gate," "The Last of the Real Ones," and many more.
