Voice coach Christina Aguilera gave birth to a baby girl yesterday (Saturday, August 16) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, MTV reports.
The 33-year-old singer delivered the baby via C-section. Aguilera and her fiancé, film producer Matt Rutler, announced that they were expecting last February, one week after their Valentines Day engagement.
This is the second child for Aguilera, who has a 6-year-old song Max Liron with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman, whom she divorced in 2010.
No news yet on what the couple has decided to name their new baby girl.
Aguilera is taking off season 6 of The Voice to spend more time with her family and work on her music career. Shakira will be filling in for the new mother.
As MTV notes, the pregnancy didn't keep the singer from hitting the studio. Just last week she posted an Instagram photo of her in the studio with the caption:
"Baby girl getting first listen to what mama's been creating in the studio."
One thing's for sure, this baby's got a hell of a lullaby singer at her disposal!
Congrats to the Aguilera and Rutler on the new addition to the family. We can't wait to find out the name!
