Ellen DeGeneres shared her heartbreak after the death of her sidekick, Stephen "tWitch" Boss.

tWitch left the industry heartbroken after his sudden, untimely passing. One the colleagues who paid tribute to him, DeGeneres offered one of the most emotional messages as the host recalled the time she spent with the dancer.

The 64-year-old spoke about her pain on Thursday as she shared a clip taken during the final season of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". The clip shows a montage of her moments with tWitch before his death.

"Whenever he's not here, it's just different ... he's my pal, he's my sidekick, because we have this connection," she said in the video. "Just looking over and he makes me laugh. He really, really makes me laugh. I love you tWitch, and you know that much."

DeGeneres recalled the times she and tWitch said goodbye and "I love you" to each other after the show. With his passing, the host said that tWitch is always part of her life.

She previously uploaded a photo of them hugging each other after his death was announced on Wednesday.

tWitch started working with DeGeneres in 2014 as a guest DJ. He eventually secured a permanent position in the program until he became a co-executive producer of the show.

What Happened to Stephen "tWitch" Boss?

tWitch was found dead inside his hotel room on Tuesday. He checked into the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California, on Monday and booked a room for a night.

The area was just a few minutes away from his Los Angeles home, and his action shocked his wife, Allison Holker Boss, who ran to a local police station to inform the authorities about her husband. She said that he left their home without his car, which was reportedly unusual.

A day after he was found dead, the Los Angeles Police confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday that it received a call for an "ambulance death investigation" at 11:20 a.m. local time on the day of tWitch's death.

His body has since undergone an autopsy, and the LA County coroner's office confirmed that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Staff at the hotel divulged that they did not hear gunfire throughout Boss' stay until he was found inside his room's bathroom. They also recalled seeing him looking good and okay when he checked in.
