Jelly Roll's mother was not able to watch her son's performance in Nashville, so the country singer/rapper did his best to tend to his mom's needs; what happened to her?

According to Big Country 96.9, the country star's mom broke her ankle just before he was set to perform at Bridgestone Arena to a sold-out show.

Several family members attended the concert including his wife Bunnie and their daughter Bailee Ann who later joined him on stage.

Taking to his official Twitter account, the "Even Angels Cry" musician revealed that he will be making a big move for his mom this week by going to the nursing home with his guitar to put on a show.

Jelly Roll's History With his Mother

In a previous post in 2020, as reported by the outlet, Jelly Roll shared a story on Facebook about his dark past, saying there was a time when he woke his mother up at 4 a.m. when he was running from the authorities.

She was alerted that the police will show up at their door anytime soon so what she did was hid her son under the house while she sat at the kitchen table while smoking a cigarette calmly as authorities searched for him.

His mother also had a big role during the singer's teenage years as she would keep him out of jail.

In 2019, he revealed to fans that he finally got his mother a house to give back to her, writing, "My mother hasn't had a house of her own since her and my dad divorced 20 something years ago. This week we made the vision come to fruition. Words can't describe my gratitude for making this possible."

Jelly Roll didn't have great early years as he was in and out of the juvenile detention center at the young age of 14.

He spent 18 months in the facility and it became a big wake-up call for him, but at the same time, it was also the same place where he first discovered his love for rap music.

To make sure the next generations would keep themselves out of trouble, Jelly Roll went back to the center earlier this month to speak to them.

All he wanted was for him to be an inspiration to the youth and struggling people and he considers himself a "beacon of hope" for the public.
