In the past few weeks, many have witnessed the highly-publicized trial of Canadian rapper Tory Lanez against Houston superstar Megan Thee Stallion after the latter alleged that she was shot by the former on foot in 2020.
With all the pieces of evidence presented, it was ruled by a Los Angeles jury that Tory Lanez was found guilty of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm and possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm.
The three counts were felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Tory Lanez, formally known as Daystar Peterson, released a statement following the announcement of the decision against them: "We are shocked by the verdict. There was not sufficient evidence to convict Mr. Peterson. We believe this case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. We will be exploring all options, including an appeal.
But after the verdict had been served, it seemed like Peterson's parents. Specifically, his father had been very vocal about his displeasure with the guilty verdict.

Per first-person accounts on the day the verdict was served, Law & Crime reporter Meghann Cunniff described that the courtroom was "crazy and downright scary" when Peterson's father and stepmother screamed about injustice.
In an exclusive video footage posted by The Shade Room, Sonstar Peterson, Lanez's father, was seen giving a passionate speech, calling out Megan Thee Stallion's lawyer, Megan herself, and even putting Roc Nation and rap mogul Jay Z too.
"I just stood here in this Los Angeles and witnessed the worst miscarriage of justice that this world has ever seen. You want to know how I feel, I'll tell you exactly how I feel," Sonstar screamed as he listed names of people to be blamed.
Alex Spiro, Megan's lawyer, Desiree Perez, Roc Nation's COO, "and the whole wicked system of Roc Nation, including you JAY-Z."
Jay Z is the founder of the entertainment agency Roc Nation which manages Megan Thee Stallion.
Meanwhile, people on Twitter, who is on Tory Lanez's side, are blaming JayZ for pulling strings to have Megan Thee Stallion win the suit.
As of this writing, neither Tory Lanez nor Megan Thee Stallion had provided any statements following the resolution of the tumultuous trial between the two of them.
