Taylor Swift's newest album, "Midnights," was the biggest album to debut this year.
Just from its debut week alone, the album has broken so many records already - from sales, streaming placements, chart records, and even Vinyl purchases - the album has dominated.
"Midnights" is Taylor Swift's 10th studio album. It follows the album, "evermore," chronologically on her new album but falls twelfth when her re-recorded albums are included.
Per Billboard, "Midnights" amassed 1.578 million album-equivalent units on its opening week sales, one of the biggest in by far seven years. The last album to have debuted at this magnitude was in 2015, when Adele's "25" earned a staggering 3.482 million album units in its first week.
On the debut week alone, "Midnights" has sealed more than half a million units. With 575,000 Vinyl album sales, Taylor Swift set the New Modern-Era Vinyl Sales Record since the publication started tracking in 1991.
Now, according to NME, "Midnights" did not just become the fastest selling vinyl-release, but it is also the highest-selling vinyl album of the 21st century.
According to the publication, it is the first time since 1987 that the album has earned more copies on Vinyl than on CD. Michael Jackson's "Bad" and Guns N' Roses' "Dirty Dancing" emerged at the top in 1987.

Predictions say that a total of 5.5 million Vinyl records will be sold at the end of the year. This marks the 15th consecutive year where Vinyl sales are growing and selling better than CDs.
On the other hand, "Midnights" also set a huge benchmark on the radio songs chart this week.
Now, Taylor had her seventh consecutive Radio Songs Chart No. 1 with "Anti-Hero." She is now among the likes of Katy Perry, Usher, and Maroon 5 for the fourth-most No. 1 on the songs charts. Bruno Mars is steady with nine, Mariah Carey with 11, and Rihanna rules the rest with 11.
To date, Taylor Swift has already sold six million album-equivalent units worldwide in the span of eight weeks - selling massively in every way possible - CDs, Vinyls, Streaming, Digital Purchases, and even Radio Airplay.
"Taylor is a multidimensional creative force whose achievements place her among the most accomplished artists in the history of music, and we are thrilled and honored to partner with her across so many aspects of her career," Universal Music Group Chairman, CEO Lucian Grainge, said in a statement.
