Jennifer Lopez translated her love for Ben Affleck and created a song about it.
"This Is Me... Now" will soon arrive and mark Lopez's new album in eight years. It will also become the follow-up to her hit album, "This Is Me... Then."
The music project contains 13 songs, including "To Be Yours," "Mad in Love," "Rebound," "Hearts and Flowers," "Broken Like Me," and "Greatest Love Story Never Told," to name a few. One of the tracks, titled "Hummingbird," has a deeper meaning than fans initially knew.
Lopez dropped the latest issue of her "On the JLo" newsletter in which she tackled about the inspiration of the song and what it symbolizes.
"To me, hummingbirds are messengers of love," Lopez said, according to Rolling Stone. "They're very agile - can fly forward, backward, and up and down. They're also the fastest bird, but they always have time to stop, eat something sweet and smell the roses."
The singer-actress noted that she feels everything is going to be okay whenever she sees the bird. Aside from that, it played a special role in creating the theme of her Christmas dinner with Ben Affleck and their kids.
According to the "Shotgun Wedding" star, she followed the hummingbird theme to celebrate the special day with their kids: her twins Emme and Max, and Affleck's children Violet, Samuel, and Seraphina.
She expressed her desire to have a hummingbird tree to remind them that everything done in and with love will always be all right in the end.
Ben Affleck Inspired Jennifer Lopez's New Album
Following the announcement of "This Is Me... Now" arrival, she told Zane Lowe on Apple Music One that her reunion with Affleck - whom she called the love of her life - helped her create the whole album.
She noted that, upon reuniting with the "Justice League" actor, she created the album with the message "this love exists."

"Now I think what the message of the album is very much if you were wondering if you have, like me at times, lost hope, almost given up, don't," she went on. "Because true love does exist and some things do last forever and that's real."
In a separate interview with Vogue, she revealed that the upcoming album would be the most honest work she has ever done in her career.
