Lil Nas X will be celebrating the New Year with a brand new hairstyle as he shared photos of his fresh locks, but many fans reacted in a humorous way as they remind him of a certain star athlete; who could this be?
Taking to his official Twitter account, the "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" hitmaker shared a video and a photo of himself showing off his new hairdo.
Many fans remember that the musician always don his short afro puff over the past year, but he's switching things up by having dreadlocks.
"since everyboyd sleep what y'all think??" the singer wrote in the caption. (via Uproxx)
Following this, many people immediately pointed out the similarities of his hair to NBA All-Star point guard Ja Morant from the team Memphis Grizzlies.
"All I'm saying is we've never seen Lil Nas X and Ja Morant in the same room," one wrote.
"Ja Morant and Lil Nas X could be long lost twins!" another one wrote.
"That tweet that says Ja Morant look like Lil Nas X got me rollin cuz I cannot unsee that s*** now lmfao," another one pointed out.
Even rapper Thierra Whack couldn't deny that the resemblance is uncanny as she quote-retweeted the post.
As of this writing, neither Ja Morant nor Lil Nas X has reacted to the recent posts about them.
This wasn't the first time the rapper shared a photo of his new hairstyle as he debuted the look at his Sidney Myer Music Bowl concert in Melbourne, Australia.

The musician had just wrapped up his North American, United Kingdom, and European dates for his successful "Love Live Montero" tour.
The set of shows began at The Filmore in Detroit, Michigan, and have visited more than a dozen stops including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Orlando, and many more.
His last show was at Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona Spain in November.
According to his official website, his next show would be at the Hordern Pavilion on January 4, 2023.
NME reported that the singer would also take the stage of sideshow program for Falls Festival along with other musicians like PinkPanthress and Magdalena Bay.
