The NBA in NBA YoungBoy stands for Never Broke Again, and he will make sure of that. The rapper is on his way to releasing his fifth studio album, "I Rest My Case."

In between studio album releases, he is known to release multiple mixed tapes and collaborations with various artists, but the 23-year-old rapper is opening 2023 with a brand new studio album, reports say.

The "Put It on Me" rapper will unveil "I Rest My Case" on Jan. 6, but aside from this news, there's isn't really much information released about the upcoming album.

Aside from the cover art, care of Akademiks, which shows YoungBoy reaching for the sky. Alongside him are what look like devils and a big hand reaching out amid the clouds.

New Era, New Album

According to Revolt, YoungBoy announced back in November that he will be releasing a new album called "Black," along with a clip of what the album will sound like.

"My next album named Black, dropping this January, just wait and hate until.

"If you just listen to what I'm saying, [you'll] hear I ain't promoting violence, stupid f**k... it's either you goin' follow or stay [the f**k] out my way," he said.

Looks like YoungBoy changed his mind on what the new album's title will be because it sure isn't "Black" anymore.

However, it is worth noting that this upcoming album will mark YoungBoy's first project under Motown Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.

Back in October, YoungBoy announced that he and Atlantic Records are through, after fulfilling his contract, which was inked back in 2017.

The last album included in his contract with the giant recording company is his critically acclaimed album, "The Last Slimeto."

With him being through with Atlantic Records, he finally pursued Mowtown Records, and "I Rest My Case" will be his first album under the recording company.

Fans cannot wait to hear what the rapper has in store for 2023, as 2022 became one of the biggest years in his music career, which has seen countless music releases and music material with various collaborations and concepts.

His recently released mixed tape, "Ma' I Got a Family" performed quite well on international and the US charts.
