Iron Maiden is undoubtedly one of the most legendary bands of all time and it's fitting for them to be honored with royal mail stamps that would circulate around the United Kingdom.

According to San Francisco Gate, the iconic group is the latest band to receive the big honor as previous music acts like Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Queen already got theirs over the past few decades.

Since the form of "snail mail" or the classic way to send letters has been declining in recent years due to technology, the outlet noted that the stamp series is a great way for them to generate revenue.

Iron Maiden's stamps are available in different packages including envelopes, postcards, stamp sheets, and there's even a limited-edition gold stamp set.

The cheapest offering, a fan sheet, is priced at £7.50, while the most expensive one called "Limited Edition Platinum Eddie Stamps" is available for a whopping £199.99.

Eight of the 12 stamps available would feature some of the most iconic performances from Iron Maiden from 1983 to 2018. The other four are special illustrations of Eddie in different looks over the band's career.

Royal Mail worked personally with the members and bassist Steve Harris reacted to the collaboration, saying all of them were "absolutely astounded in a good way."

Upon seeing the production in progress, the co-founder said they were "speechless" because the designs were able to capture the essence and energy of their group.

"We're all very proud that Royal Mail has chosen to honour the band's legacy like this and we know our fans will feel the same way," he added.

On the other hand, David Gold, the director of external public affairs and policy, said Iron Maiden has many fans of all ages and they're iconic in their own way for changing the sound of rock music.

For fans who are interested in purchasing the stamps and products, pre-orders start on January 5 at Royal Mail's online store. All items would be available for the public starting January 12.

In other updates, Iron Maiden would perform in different cities for their "Future Past" tour this year. Their first show would kick off at the Arena Stozice in Ljubjana, Slovenia, on May 28.

Accompanying them on tour would be The Raven Age. All information about tickets and complete tour dates are available on their official website.
