In the seconds following the chaos of gunfire in Miami Gardens, French Montana and members of his team scurried into a fast food restaurant to seek refuge.

TMZ has obtained video from inside a KFC restaurant where the French and others sought refuge. In the clip, French doesn't say much, but you can see him looking out toward the scene.

A witness inside the restaurant reports that French remained there for 30 to 40 minutes, during which time the police arrived and the victims were transported to the hospital.

Up to ten people were injured when shots were fired into a crowd gathered at The Licking restaurant on Thursday night to celebrate the release of French's new mixtape, "Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition."

Uncertainty surrounds the cause of the shooting, but a witness on the scene believes it was an attempted robbery during the celebration. A representative for French Montana confirmed to us that he was not injured in the melee, and it is anticipated that everyone will survive, including a bodyguard who is in critical condition.

French Montana stated on Friday, in a statement, "Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant. We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time."

The police have yet to make an arrest. But earlier, Chief of Police in Miami Gardens, Delma Noel-Pratt, blamed the rapper and his crew for all the violence and anarchy. In violation of city policy, according to Noel-Pratt, event organizers (i.e. French and Co.) failed to submit an application to obtain the necessary permits for the video shoot.

The police chief opined that the tragedy resulted from this disregard for the procedures. He added that had the necessary agencies been notified in advance and protocol had been followed, police officers would have been present to protect the community and assist in deterring and responding to any potential situation, if they thought it needed.

This Money Heist Edition mixtape features contributions from ASAP Rocky, Benny the Butcher, Kodak Black, Jeremih, Max B, Vory, King Combs, Nav, EST Gee, Stove God Cooks, and the late Chinx, among others. With 29 tracks, one can say that this is certainly a lengthy album. French also informed fans that the "classic version" of the album, which is also available now, contains 20 tracks.
