Rod Stewart Age, Net Worth
Sir Rod Stewart is a British singer and songwriter with a 60-year career.
His name has appeared multiple times on The Sunday Times' Rich List. Here is how he amassed his fortune. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Rod Stewart has an estimated net worth of $300 million, or just under £250 million.
Through his singing career, he has sold over 120 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling musicians in the history of the world.
Stewart, who was born in London as Roderick David Stuart in 1945, is the youngest of five children. His childhood was consumed by hobbies such as model railroad construction and football, both of which he continues to enjoy.
Rod did not become interested in music until the 1960s, when he first learned harmonica and then piano.
Rod left school at age 15 with the intent of becoming a professional football player.
In 1962, Rod began busking in Leicester Square with folk singer Wizz Jones, and for the following 18 months they toured.
But Rod's first official job as a musician was in October 1963, when he joined The Dimensions, a London-based R&B group, as a vocalist and harmonica player.

In the years that followed, Rod participated in a variety of musical acts and became known as Rod The Mod due to his punk-rock alternative style and appearance.
In 1969, Rod joined the band Faces and assumed the role of lead singer. Mercury records also signed him as a solo artist, and he began making music independently.
Rod's big break came with his 1971 solo album Every Picture Tells a Story, which included the hits Maggie May and Reason to Believe.
Big Heartbreak 2023
In an emotional social media post, Sir Rod Stewart lamented the loss of his two brothers within a few months of one another.
The legendary singer-songwriter said goodbye to his 87-year-old brother Bob, who passed away in November of last year.
"I said Farewell to my Brother Bob today, with his coffin draped in a Rangers flag (life long Glasgow Rangers fan)," Stewart said in a post on Instagram.
"We loved our game days up in Scotland together.
"Now he joins Brother Don, rest in peace boys. Two of my best mates gone within just a few months."
Stewart lost his oldest brother Don in September 2022, around the same time that Queen Elizabeth II passed away. He's certainly no stranger to compounded grief, unfortunately.
"It has been a devastating 48 hours. We lost my brother Don on Tuesday at 94 and today we have all lost Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 96," he wrote in the caption of a post at the time, with an illustration of Queen Elizabeth's crown.
Stewart, ranked among the top 100 artists of all time by Billboard, was knighted by the Queen in 2016.
Two of his sisters, Mary and Peggy, are still alive; he is the youngest of five siblings.
He has previously discussed their support and contribution to his successful music career, including on his sister Mary's 90th birthday.
"I've got to tell you, these guys were instrumental in supporting me, helping me get into music, and just being there for me," The Sun reported from the celebrations in 2019.
"Whether it was football or washing my dirty underpants, I can't speak highly enough about these guys," he added.
