Happy Birthday Zack De La Rocha! We hope you are recovering!

Net Worth, Age

American singer, songwriter, rapper, and activist Zack de la Rocha has a net worth of $25 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

He is is best known as the lead singer and songwriter for the rap metal band, Rage Against the Machine. As a member of the group, Zack has sold over 16 million CDs and received numerous accolades. After Zack's departure in 2000, Rage Against the Machine dissolved, but they rejoined in 2007 and remained together until 2011. Despite announcing a reunion tour for 2020, the 52 scheduled dates have been postponed owing to the Coronavirus epidemic.

Zack De la Rocha's Injury

The remainder of Rage Against the Machine's North American tour has been canceled due to Zack de la Rocha's leg injury, which needs a lot of therapy and recuperation.

De la Rocha acknowledged in a statement that he had a "serious tear" in his left Achilles' tendon. Even though 8% of his tendon is still intact, the vocalist noted that even that piece was seriously affected.

It was back in July 2022 when De la Rocha was injured while performing with the rap-rock band at the United Center in Chicago. This was caught on video.

In his statement, De la Rocha added that it has already almost been three months that have passed since his injury incident in Chicago, and he still looks down at his leg in amazement.

Two years of waiting through the pandemic, hoping for an opportunity to reunite as a band and finish the job they began thirty or so years ago. Rehearsing, rehearsing, reconciling, and regaining form. Then, 1.5 seconds into it, his tendon ruptured. He added that it felt like the universe was playing a horrible joke on him. It was a struggle to remain optimistic. He said he needed to remind himself that these are simply unfortunate circumstances. Just a lapse of reason.

Can He Recover?

We do not have official news, but we certainly hope so! Plus, the vocalist is not that completely absent from the music scene!

Even though Zack de la Rocha is healing from the injuries that resulted in the cancellation of the Rage Against The Machine tour, he has lately been included in a collaboration song. The American-English post-punk band Algiers collaborated with the singer on the song "Irreversible Damage," according to NME.

Franklin James Fisher, the lead singer of the band, commented on the song's meaning: "This song ends with the sound of joy. The sound of hope in 2022, when everything is coming apart."

His bandmates are also doing their thing while the gigs of their bands remain shelved.

Tim Commerford has begun a new musical endeavor outside of his role as bassist for the iconic heavy rock group Rage Against The Machine. Commerford, Mathias Wakrat, and Jonny Polonsky have founded the band, 7D7D. The band's debut single "Capitalism" was published on Mad Bunny Records on November 25, and they have just released their second single, "Misinformed."

Unfortunately, he also disclosed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer before the commencement of the band's spring reunion tour. The artist disclosed to Spin magazine that he had his prostate removed two months before the start of the tour.

Back in December, Tom Morello, lead guitarist for the Los Angeles political punk band, Rage Against the Machine, opened for an audience of thousands by doing just that. Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., a coalition of graduate student unions on strike at the University of California, UAW Local 2865 and Local 5810, began an all-day rally in front of the UCLA Luskin Center. Morello sang Rage Against songs in order to invigorate the crowd.
