A long-lost track from Eve, Madonna, and Pharrell has surfaced called "The Beat Is So Crazy." According to VIBE, the song was originally recorded for Madonna's 2008 Hard Candy. It ended up on her cutting room floor and was later was slated to appear on Eve's scrapped album Here I Am.
Seven years later, we get to hear Pharrell's classic Neptunes-style production with Madonna on the chorus (SPIN notes that a fan claims it to be a sample of an unreleased 1994 "Human Nature" demo).
Pharrell also comes in toward the end with subtle back-up vocals, singing, "Why can't you accept what you know you are."
On one verse, Eve sings "Never thought I was the type to hang round / Lied to myself constantly / About the person I thought you'd be / Who's to blame? I guess it's me / I cause my own misery / Tit for tat, this and that / I need my life back / Now here I am, I'm so happy it is time to move on."
As SPIN notes, Eve's proposed album was scrapped after a lukewarm reception to the LP's first single, "Tambourine."
Last spring, Eve released her fourth album since 1999, Lip Lock.
