Many fans are excited to see Journey perform again this year as they are celebrating their 50th year in the music industry and there are still people talking about who would appear on their scheduled shows which will kick off next month.
In recent weeks, Neal Schon hinted about Gregg Rolie coming back to perform with the band as he shared a photo on Twitter along with the musician with the caption, "2 original founding members."
The singer then asked his followers if they wanted the keyboardist to join them on tour, saying he will "spice it up" and they will perform many songs from their decades-long music catalog.
However, the guitarist's wife recently claimed that Rolie's comeback has been an issue among members of Journey.
Taking to their joint Facebook page, Michaele Schon began her statement by saying how precious life is after the legendary guitarist Jeff Beck's death.
The topic immediately turned to the group's issues, saying two band members are "adamant no" against Rolie to return.
"Life is so precious, Neal and Gregg agree. Who wants to have that feeling, truly sad. Music is for inspiration and joy!" she added.
Michaele then noted that many fans love and respect Rolie for who he is and without him, Journey wouldn't exist today.
Concluding her statement, the guitarist's wife revealed that both Rolie and Schon would be "somewhere together" for at least one time in 2023 to honor their 50th anniversary.
As of this writing, neither Michaele nor her husband has revealed which two members of Journey disagreed with Gregg Rolie's comeback.
The band has also not released an official announcement that the former keyboardist would join them on tour this year.
Journey 50th Anniversary Tour + Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain Issues
The recent post comes a few days after Jonathan Cain confirmed on his Instagram account that he would be performing at the band's tour this year despite the ongoing issues happening behind the scenes.
The musician shared a photo of himself with his wife, Paula White, on a mountain having a vacation. "I feel very grateful and blessed to share this time on the slopes with my Baby before hitting the road with Journey," he wrote in the caption.
Last year, Schon filed a lawsuit against his bandmate, claiming he had been denied access to the group's financial records. He also claimed that Cain set up a credit card under Journey's name without consulting him.
The keyboardist responded by alleging Schon's "reckless spending," saying it was the main reason why they were feuding and that he was never denied access to their records.
