Nick Cave recently expressed his disappointment with modern technology as he called out software called ChatGPT after fans generated lyrics that were inspired by him.
According to NME, the Bad Seeds frontman took to his blog, The Red Hand Files, to express his true feelings over the chatbot service which uses artificial intelligence to generate text that looks like it was written by a human.
The vocalist revealed that he received many submissions from his supporters of song lyrics generated by AI with the prompt "in the style of Nick Cave."
He responded to one of the fans who sent lyrics that read, "I am the sinner, I am the saint/ I am the darkness, I am the light/ I am the hunter, I am the prey/ I am the devil, I am the saviour."
Cave didn't hold back with his choice of words in his blog post as he wrote, "with all the love and respect in the world, this song is b*******, a grotesque mockery of what it is to be human."
He further explained that after the AI chatbot launched last year, many of his fans have sent him songs written by the technology, but he doesn't feel "the same enthusiasm around this technology."
"ChatGPT's melancholy role is that it is destined to imitate and can never have an authentic human experience," he added.

To conclude his letter to the fan named Mark, he also used some of the AI lyrics to summarize what he's feeling.
In other updates, it appears that a new Bad Seeds album is coming out soon as confirmed by the frontman himself, saying he is currently in the process of writing songs for the upcoming record.
He considers the project as both good and bad news; good because fans love their songs, and bad because he is the one in charge of writing the tracks.
Cave added that his songwriting process began at 9 a.m. on January 1st and it took him a few days to write a few songs, but he still considers it as not "very good."
It's been almost four years since The Bad Seeds last released an album with their record "Ghosteen." As of this writing, the musician did not reveal more information about the official release date, tracklist, and other details about the upcoming album.
