Lil Tjay has been arrested Monday while in the Bronx due to an alleged weapons violation, reports confirmed.
A news outlet cited law enforcement sources who confirmed that the New York Police Department arrested Lil Tjay while on his way to film a video with rapper Ice Spice. The arrest was reportedly made at a traffic stop at 183rd Street and Ryer Avenue in the Bronx around 4 p.m.
According to the unnamed sources, officers found a handgun inside his vehicle, prompting them to arrest him for an alleged weapons violation.
The report disclosed that he was on his way to a police station where he would be booked for weapon possession.
In a separate news report, New York Post said four others were taken into custody, and two of them were charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
Before the arrest, Lil Tjay was still able to share an Instagram Story in which he said he was going to shoot a video on Monday. On the other hand, his supposed collaborator rapper, Ice Spice, reportedly had a run-in with the police, as well, around the same time nearby.
She was not arrested or charged with anything, but the man who was with her when her car was pulled over was also taken into custody. The man, named Markus Grisham, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after loading a 9-millimeter gun at the time of the stop.
Lil Tjay's representatives have not addressed the development yet. The story is developing.
Lil Tjay Came Back Stronger After Shooting Incident
The recent arrest came weeks after Lil Tjay surprised everyone with photos of him displaying the scars he sustained after his near-fatal experience during a shooting incident in June.
He uploaded photos of him taken at his Wellmont Theater performance in 2022, writing, "BACK IN JERSEY."

Lil Tjay sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body after the suspect, Mohamed Konate, attempted to rob him and his friend. He was struck in the thoracic cavity, with most of the bullets hitting his chest and ribs.
He was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he underwent multiple surgeries. The rapper even sparked several rumors about his status due to the lack of information about his condition after the incident.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office later confirmed that Konate had been charged with weapon charges, armed robbery, and attempted murder.
