A representative confirmed where Lisa Marie Presley would be laid to rest.
Presley's family is said to be preparing a special funeral and memorial service to honor the singer-songwriter. A spokesperson for her daughter, Riley Keough, also revealed to People further details about the plans.
According to the representative, Lisa Marie Presley would be laid to rest at Graceland, where public service would also take place.
"Riley, Harper, Finley, and Priscilla are grateful for the support, well-wishes, and outpouring of love honoring their beloved Lisa Marie," the representative said. "A public memorial service has been arranged on the front lawn of Graceland at 9:00 am on Sunday, January 22 in Memphis."
Presley's remains will be placed next to her son, Benjamin, at the Meditation Garden. The place currently holds the remains of Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll's parents Gladys and Vernon, and his grandmother, Minnie Mae.
Before her death, Presley already expressed once about her desired resting place in her song, "Light's Out." The track was part of her debut album, "To Whom It May Concern," in 2003.
"Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis/Ooh, that's where my family's buried and gone (gone)/Oh yeah/Last time I was there I noticed a space left/Oh, next to them there in Memphis, yeah/In the damn back lawn," the lyrics read.
Grief counselor David Kessler shared on his Instagram post that Graceland was Presley's happy place.
Instead of flowers, the Presley family asks everyone to donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. The nonprofit group has been supporting organizations focusing on education, arts, and children's programs in Memphis and Whitehaven.
Lisa Marie Presley's Cause of Death
Lisa Marie Presley died on Jan. 12, two days after she and her mother, Priscilla, attended the Golden Globes and supported Austin Butler.
She was initially hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrest at home. Unnamed sources informed a news outlet said she was put on life support with a temporary pacemaker.
Responders performed CPR on her and gave her an epinephrine shot to regain her pulse before rushing her to a hospital.
However, she was still put in a medically induced coma. The singer then suffered a second arrest which led to her death.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department have not released an official statement yet. However, the latter has since said it could not release the official cause of death as it is still waiting for the toxicology test results.
The documents would determine what might have been in her system at the time of her passing and whether it contributed to her death.
