Even though months have passed since Takeoff died, many fans and fellow artists in the music industry are still mourning their loss. More recently, Cardi B, the wife of the rapper's bandmate Offset, revealed how her husband reacted the moment they found out about the tragic news.
The "WAP" hitmaker recently appeared on "The Jason Lee Podcast" to share more information about the evening they receive the news of the rapper's death, saying she and her partner initially planned to go to a Halloween party but had to cancel their plans because their firstborn Kulture threw up at her costume.
Since they decided to stay at home, Cardi said she and her family slept "out of nowhere," until her husband's phone kept ringing through the night.
She then recalled the moment Offset finally answered the call and began screaming "Noooo." Upon asking her partner, whom she married in September 2017, he finally revealed the news, saying his Migos bandmate Takeoff has died.
"I smacked him and I said, 'Don't say that. Like, don't say that!' And then he [was] just screaming and just throwing things, throwing up, running all over and I was so scared," she added. (via Billboard)
Regarding Cardi B's reaction herself, the female rapper said she was crying so much that evening because it was "terrible."

The musician then looked back at her happy memories with the late rapper along with her husband's other bandmate/uncle Quavo, saying she's grateful for meeting them and the time she spent with the trio.
"I feel like I'm so happy that I experienced all those great moments when they were all together and everything," she added.
According to the outlet, Takeoff died in the early hours of November 1, 2022. The rapper was fatally shot after attending a private party at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. His official cause of death was determined as "penetrating gunshot wounds of head and torso into arm" after an autopsy.
Despite Offset allegedly having issues with his bandmates months prior Takeoff's death, he was present at the funeral and seemingly set their differences aside.
He later shared an emotional tribute online, saying the pain that his cousin left was "unbearable" and the whole situation felt like a "nightmare."
