Sitting down with Anna herself for an episode of his podcast Armchair Expert, Dax Shepard revealed that his wife, Kristen Bell, who he has been married to since 2013, had felt a bit envious of the "Pitch Perfect" actress. Dax revealed that Anna was the first person he had ever watched his wife feel jealous of. He began by stating that Kristen had granted him permission to relate the story.
Many were shocked that he would reveal this story though, regardless if his wife wanted him to.
According to Shepard, in all the time that he has known Kristen -- 15 years to be exact, she has only experienced envy over a single human, and it's been Kendrick. He added that this shocked him since he has never seen his wife jealous or envious of anyone.
Explaining just why Kristen was envious of Anna, he said Kristen was like who is this another short person that can sing.
Kendrick was not mad about the relevation though. She even went on to say that this wasn't exactly a huge shock to her. She shared that she never felt like Bell liked her.
She clarified though that it could be just her, thinking that. She said she believes a big portion of that is genuine when it comes to extremely sweet angelic blonde girls. She said she thinks they thought she was odd, that they thought I was a strange little troll. And while she does not think of Kristen as short, she does consider her a sweet angel. Shepard was quick to clarify though that Bell was jealous but not hating on Kendrick.

Anna ultimately disregarded these sensations as her own "projections," noting that she is afraid of "certainly-appearing women."
Dax Shepard clarified that Bell has"nothing but positive thoughts" for the Twilight star. He said that once Bell observed Kendrick and even experienced losing roles to her, she just accepted everything in a stride.
Several Twitter users were perplexed by Dax's admission after viewing a footage of the conversation that went viral. Even with Kristen's approval, several individuals deemed Dax to be "messy" and "strange" for posting the sensitive material publicly. Alternatively, some readers believed there was nothing wrong with Dax sharing the anecdote, given that Kristen had no objections.
